WENDY’S CHILI COPYCAT IN THE SLOW COOKER

Here’s a warm and hearty Wendy’s Chili Copycat recipe made right in your slow cooker — loaded with ground beef, beans, and bold seasoning just like the classic, but even better homemade!


🍲 Wendy’s Chili (Slow Cooker Copycat)

🍽️ Servings: 6–8

📝 Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 (29 oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (29 oz) can diced tomatoes (undrained)
  • 1 (15 oz) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 (15 oz) can pinto beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 packet chili seasoning or use the blend below
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • 1½ cups water

🔥 Directions:

  1. Brown the beef:
    In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until no longer pink. Drain excess grease.
  2. Combine in slow cooker:
    Add browned beef and all remaining ingredients to the slow cooker. Stir to combine.
  3. Cook:
    • Low for 6–8 hours
    • or High for 3–4 hours
  4. Taste & serve:
    Adjust seasoning if needed. Serve hot with crackers, shredded cheese, or sour cream.

✅ Tips & Notes:

  • Want more heat? Add a pinch of cayenne pepper or chopped jalapeños.
  • Great for meal prep – flavors get better the next day!
  • Double the recipe for game day or gatherings.

❄️ Storage:

  • Fridge: Store up to 4–5 days in an airtight container
  • Freezer: Freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight and reheat on the stove or microwave.
