Here’s a perfect recipe for Soft Peanut Butter Cookies — thick, chewy, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious!

Soft Peanut Butter Cookies

Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 8–10 minutes
Total Time: 25 minutes
Servings: 24 cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream the Butters and Sugars:
    • In a large bowl, beat the peanut butter, softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until creamy and smooth.
  3. Add Eggs and Vanilla:
    • Beat in the eggs, one at a time, and add vanilla extract.
  4. Mix Dry Ingredients:
    • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Combine:
    • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix just until combined (don’t overmix).
  6. Shape Cookies:
    • Scoop about 1½ tablespoons of dough per cookie.
    • Roll into balls and place on the prepared baking sheet.
    • Gently flatten with a fork in a crisscross pattern.
  7. Bake:
    • Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the edges are set but centers still look slightly soft.
    • Let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Tips:

  • Don’t overbake! They continue to firm up as they cool and stay soft inside.
  • Chill the dough for 30 minutes if you want thicker cookies.
  • Use natural peanut butter carefully — it should be stirred well and not too oily for best results.
