📝 Ingredients

  • 10 jalapeños, halved and deseeded
  • 1/2 lb ground sausage (mild, hot, or Italian)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Optional: crumbled bacon, green onions, or Parmesan for garnish

🔥 Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet.
  2. Cook sausage in a skillet until browned and no longer pink. Drain and let cool slightly.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix cooked sausage, cream cheese, cheddar, garlic powder, salt & pepper.
  4. Spoon mixture into each jalapeño half. Place on baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 18–20 minutes, until peppers are tender and filling is golden.
  6. Top with optional garnishes and serve warm!

💡 Tips & Notes

  • Wear gloves when handling jalapeños to avoid irritation.
  • For less heat, soak jalapeños in cold water after deseeding.
  • Try using chorizo, ground turkey, or even vegan sausage for variations.
