🥗 Homemade Poppy Seed Salad Dressing

This creamy, sweet-tangy Poppy Seed Salad Dressing is the perfect match for fresh greens, fruit salads, or grilled chicken — and it comes together in just minutes!

🍽️ Yield: ~1 cup


📝 Ingredients:

  • ⅓ cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar (or white wine vinegar)
  • 2 tablespoons honey or sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional, for a tangy twist)
  • 2 teaspoons poppy seeds
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (or neutral oil)

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl or jar, whisk together mayonnaise, vinegar, honey, mustard, and salt.
  2. Slowly whisk in the olive oil until smooth and creamy.
  3. Stir in the poppy seeds.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness or tang as desired.
  5. Store in a sealed jar in the fridge for up to 1 week. Shake or stir before each use.

✅ Tips:

  • For a lighter version, swap mayonnaise for Greek yogurt or use half mayo, half yogurt.
