Here’s a quick and cozy recipe for making Cinnamon Coffee Cake with Bisquick — fluffy, buttery, and loaded with a cinnamon-sugar swirl! Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or an anytime treat. ☕🍰

🍰 Bisquick Cinnamon Coffee Cake

🍽️ Servings: 8

🕒 Prep Time: 10 min | Bake Time: 25–30 min

📌 Easy | One Bowl | Classic Comfort

📝 Ingredients:

Batter:

  • 2 cups Bisquick baking mix
  • ⅔ cup milk
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Cinnamon Topping:

  • ⅓ cup brown sugar
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp cold butter, cut into small pieces

Optional Glaze:

  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1–2 tsp milk or cream
  • Splash of vanilla extract

🔥 Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease or spray an 8×8-inch baking dish.
  2. Make the Batter:
In a bowl, mix Bisquick, milk, sugar, egg, and vanilla until just combined. Don’t overmix.
  3. Pour into Pan:
Spread batter evenly in the prepared dish.
  4. Add Cinnamon Topping:
In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon. Cut in butter with a fork until crumbly. Sprinkle over batter.
  5. Swirl (Optional):
Use a knife to gently swirl the cinnamon topping into the batter for a marbled effect.
  6. Bake:
Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Optional Glaze:
While warm, drizzle with a simple glaze made from powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla.

✅ Tips & Notes:

  • Add chopped nuts or mini chocolate chips to the topping for extra texture.
  • Great served warm with coffee or tea.
  • Store covered at room temp for 2 days, or refrigerate for up to 5.

❄️ How to Freeze Bisquick Coffee Cake

🧊 Option 1: Freeze the Whole Cake

  1. Cool completely after baking.
  2. Wrap the whole coffee cake tightly in plastic wrap, then a layer of foil.
  3. Place in a freezer-safe container or bag.
  4. Label and date. Freeze for up to 2–3 months.

🧁 Option 2: Freeze Individual Slices

  1. Let slices cool completely.
  2. Wrap each slice in plastic wrap.
  3. Place in a zip-top freezer bag or airtight container.
  4. Freeze for easy grab-and-go portions.

🔥 To Reheat:

  • Microwave (individual slice): 20–30 seconds until warm.
  • Oven (whole cake or larger portion): Reheat at 300°F (150°C) for 10–15 minutes, covered with foil to prevent drying out.

✅ Tip: If you plan to add a glaze, do it after thawing/reheating for the freshest texture.
