This Homemade Fresh Peach Crisp is a simple, golden-topped dessert bursting with juicy peaches and warm cinnamon — perfect for summer and best served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!


🍑 Homemade Fresh Peach Crisp Recipe

Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 40–45 minutes
Total Time: ~1 hour

📝 Ingredients:

For the peach filling:

  • 6–8 fresh peaches, peeled and sliced (~6 cups)
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt

For the crisp topping:

  • ¾ cup old-fashioned oats
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ⅓ cup brown sugar (light or dark)
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup cold unsalted butter, cut into small cubes

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×9-inch or similar-sized baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine peach slices with sugar, flour, lemon juice, cinnamon, and salt. Toss gently to coat, then spread evenly in the baking dish.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the oats, flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
  4. Add the cold butter cubes and use your fingers or a pastry cutter to blend until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  5. Sprinkle the topping evenly over the peaches.
  6. Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
  7. Let cool for 10–15 minutes before serving. Enjoy warm with ice cream or whipped cream!

✅ Tips:

  • If peaches are very ripe, reduce sugar slightly.
  • No fresh peaches? Use frozen (thawed and drained) or canned (drained).
  • Add ¼ teaspoon nutmeg or chopped pecans to the topping for extra depth.

🧊 Storage:

  • Refrigerate leftovers for up to 4 days.
  • Reheat in the microwave or oven at 300°F until warmed through.
