Funnel Cake Bites

Here’s a fun, fair-style treat you can make right at home — Funnel Cake Bites! These golden, crispy mini delights are dusted in powdered sugar and perfect for sharing at parties, holidays, or movie nights.


🍩 Funnel Cake Bites

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: ~25 minutes
Servings: About 20–24 bites


📝 Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Heat oil in a deep pan or skillet to 350°F (175°C). Line a plate with paper towels.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat the egg, then mix in milk and vanilla.
  4. Add wet ingredients to dry and stir until just combined — batter should be thick but pourable.
  5. Use a small cookie scoop or spoon to drop tablespoon-sized amounts of batter into hot oil. Fry in batches, turning once, until golden brown (about 1–2 minutes per side).
  6. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  7. While still warm, dust generously with powdered sugar. Serve immediately!

✅ Tips:

  • Keep oil temperature steady for even cooking.
  • Add a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg for extra flavor.
  • Serve with chocolate sauce, caramel, or berry jam for dipping!

🧊 Storage:

  • Best fresh, but you can reheat leftovers in a 350°F oven for 5–7 minutes to crisp them up.
  • Not recommended for freezing.
