Crock Pot Cube Steak

Ingredients:
- 4–6 cube steaks
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 packet onion soup mix
- ½ cup water or beef broth
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp black pepper
- Optional: sliced mushrooms
Directions:
- Layer Ingredients:
Place sliced onions at the bottom of the crock pot. Lay cube steaks on top. - Mix Sauce:
In a bowl, whisk together cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, onion soup mix, water or broth, garlic powder, and black pepper. Add mushrooms if using. - Pour Over Steak:
Pour the sauce mixture over the cube steaks, covering them evenly. - Cook:
Cover and cook on low for 6–8 hours or high for about 4 hours, until the steaks are tender and the gravy is thickened. - Serve:
Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles, spooning plenty of the creamy gravy on top.
Tips:
- For a thicker gravy, mix 1 tbsp cornstarch with 2 tbsp cold water and stir it into the crock pot 30 minutes before serving.
- Add sliced bell peppers or carrots for a veggie boost.
- Leftovers store well in the fridge for 3–4 days and taste even better the next day!
