Ingredients for the Salad:

  • 4 cups mixed salad greens
  • 2 cups cooked and diced chicken breast
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cup cucumber, diced
  • 1 cup crumbled blue cheese
  • 1 cup hard-boiled eggs, chopped
  • 1 cup bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 avocado, sliced

For the Dressing:

  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Begin by arranging the mixed salad greens as the base in a large serving bowl or on individual plates.
  2. Next, strategically layer the diced chicken, cherry tomatoes, diced cucumber, crumbled blue cheese, chopped hard-boiled eggs, and crumbled bacon over the bed of greens.
  3. Carefully place the sliced avocado on top, adding a touch of creaminess to the ensemble.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, red wine vinegar, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, salt, and pepper to create a flavorful dressing.
  5. Drizzle the dressing over the Cobb Salad just before serving, or alternatively, serve it on the side for individual preferences.

Make in Advance Tips:

To make this Cobb Salad in advance without compromising its freshness, follow these steps:

  • Prepare all the salad ingredients and store them separately in airtight containers in the refrigerator.
  • Keep the dressing in a separate container until ready to serve.
  • Assemble the Cobb Salad just before serving to maintain the crispness of the greens and the integrity of the layers.

This timeless Cobb Salad is not only a culinary delight but also a feast for the eyes, making it a perfect choice for a satisfying and visually appealing meal.
