Ingredients:
- 1 cup warm water (about 110°F or 45°C)
- 2 1/4 teaspoons (1 packet) active dry yeast
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions:
- Activate the yeast: In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water and honey. Sprinkle the yeast over the water mixture and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until foamy.
- Mix dry ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour, all-purpose flour, rolled oats, raisins, cinnamon, and salt.
- Combine ingredients: Once the yeast mixture is foamy, add the dry ingredients to it. Mix until a shaggy dough forms.
- Knead the dough: Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Knead the dough for about 8-10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour as needed.
- First rise: Form the dough into a ball and place it in a lightly greased bowl, turning once to coat. Cover the bowl with a clean kitchen towel or plastic wrap and let the dough rise in a warm, draft-free place for about 1-1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.
- Shape the loaf: Once the dough has risen, punch it down to release the air bubbles. Shape it into a loaf and place it into a greased 9×5-inch loaf pan. Cover the pan with the kitchen towel or plastic wrap and let it rise again for about 45 minutes to 1 hour, until it’s risen just above the rim of the pan.
- Preheat the oven: While the dough is rising, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake: Once the dough has risen, brush the top with olive oil for a nice crust. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
- Cool: Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 5-10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Slice and enjoy: Once the bread has cooled completely, slice it and serve. Enjoy your delicious homemade Cinnamon Raisin Whole Wheat Honey Oat Bread

Notes
- Adjust sweetness: If you prefer sweeter bread, you can increase the amount of honey or add a bit of brown sugar to the dough.
- Texture: Whole wheat flour and oats contribute to a denser texture compared to bread made with only all-purpose flour. Embrace the hearty texture for a more wholesome loaf.
