These Caramel Apple Pie Bombs combine the best of warm apple pie with gooey caramel in bite-sized, easy-to-make treats. Made with buttery biscuit dough, sweet caramel, and spiced apple filling, they’re perfect for a quick dessert or snack that tastes like fall in every bite!
Ingredients
- 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
- 1 cup apple pie filling, chopped into small pieces
- 8 caramel candies or 1/4 cup caramel sauce
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tbsp melted butter
Directions
- Prepare the Ingredients:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
- Assemble the Apple Pie Bombs:
- Flatten each biscuit dough round to about 4 inches in diameter.
- Place a spoonful of apple pie filling and a caramel candy (or drizzle with caramel sauce) in the center of each dough round.
- Carefully pull the edges of the dough up around the filling, pinching to seal and forming a tight ball.
- Coat and Bake:
- Roll each ball in melted butter, then coat in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Place the bombs on the prepared baking sheet, seam-side down.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and puffy.
- Serve:
- Allow the bombs to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy them warm with extra caramel sauce for dipping!
Note
- Optional Glaze: Drizzle with a powdered sugar glaze for an extra touch of sweetness.
- Apple Filling Alternative: Fresh apples sautéed with cinnamon and sugar work great if you don’t have pie filling.
