- 1 flatbread or pre-made pizza crust
- 2-3 medium-sized tomatoes, thinly sliced
- 8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
- Fresh basil leaves
- Balsamic glaze
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare the flatbread: Place the flatbread or pizza crust on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Layer the ingredients: Drizzle a little olive oil over the flatbread. Arrange the thinly sliced tomatoes evenly over the flatbread. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper. Place the slices of fresh mozzarella cheese over the tomatoes.
- Bake: Transfer the baking sheet to the preheated oven and bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges of the flatbread are golden brown.
- Finish with basil and balsamic glaze: Once the flatbread is out of the oven, tear fresh basil leaves and scatter them over the melted cheese. Drizzle balsamic glaze generously over the top.
- Serve: Slice the flatbread pizza into wedges or squares and serve immediately while still warm.
