Ingredients:
For Cajun Seasoning:
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon dried thyme
- 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon white pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
For Cajun Chicken Alfredo Pasta:
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced into thin strips
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning (adjust according to taste)
- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Prepare Cajun seasoning by combining all the spices listed under “Cajun Seasoning” in a small bowl. Mix well and set aside.
- Season the chicken breast strips with 2 tablespoons of Cajun seasoning, making sure they are evenly coated. Set aside to marinate for about 10-15 minutes.
- Cook fettuccine pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the marinated chicken breast strips to the skillet. Cook until they are no longer pink in the center and have a nice brown crust on the outside, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a simmer over medium heat. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until it melts and the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the cooked fettuccine pasta to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce. Toss until the pasta is well coated.
- Return the cooked Cajun chicken to the skillet and toss with the pasta and sauce until everything is heated through, about 2-3 minutes.
- Serve the Cajun Chicken Alfredo Pasta hot, garnished with chopped parsley if desired. Enjoy!
