Here’s a juicy, flavorful recipe for the Best Marinated Grilled Shrimp — perfect for summer grilling or a quick, delicious dinner!


Best Marinated Grilled Shrimp

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound large shrimp (peeled and deveined, tails on or off)
  • ⅓ cup olive oil
  • ¼ cup lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a little heat)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions:

  1. Make the Marinade:
    • In a medium bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, soy sauce, honey, garlic, smoked paprika, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Marinate the Shrimp:
    • Place the shrimp in a large zip-top bag or shallow dish.
    • Pour the marinade over the shrimp, seal or cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (but no longer than 1 hour).
  3. Preheat Grill:
    • Heat grill (or grill pan) to medium-high heat.
    • Lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.
  4. Grill the Shrimp:
    • Thread shrimp onto skewers if desired.
    • Grill shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side, or until pink, opaque, and slightly charred.
  5. Serve:
    • Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges.

Tips:

  • Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes before grilling to prevent burning.
  • Don’t overcook! Shrimp cooks fast — as soon as they turn pink and curl, they’re done.
  • Extra marinade tip: You can reserve a few tablespoons before marinating to drizzle over after grilling.
