Here’s a warm, cozy Apple Fritter Bread Recipe — loaded with chunks of apple, cinnamon-sugar swirls, and a sweet glaze on top. It tastes just like your favorite apple fritter doughnut in easy loaf form!

🍎 Apple Fritter Bread

Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 50–60 minutes
Total Time: ~1 hour 15 minutes
Servings: 8–10 slices

📝 Ingredients:

For the bread:

  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1½ teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1¾ teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1½ cups peeled, chopped apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)

For the glaze (optional but delicious):

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1–2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream butter and granulated sugar until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.
  4. Whisk together flour and baking powder, then stir into wet ingredients, alternating with milk, until combined.
  5. Pour half the batter into the loaf pan. Top with half the chopped apples and half the cinnamon mixture. Lightly press in.
  6. Add remaining batter, then top with remaining apples and cinnamon mixture. Lightly swirl with a knife.
  7. Bake for 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool in pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  8. For the glaze, mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla, then drizzle over the cooled bread.

✅ Tips:

  • Don’t overmix the batter — it keeps the loaf tender.
  • Use firm, tart apples for best texture and flavor.
  • This bread is even better the next day!

🧊 Storage:

  • Store covered at room temperature for 2 days or refrigerate for up to 5 days.
  • Freeze (unglazed) for up to 3 months.
