Servings: 24–30 balls
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 20–25 minutes
Total Time: 40 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground breakfast sausage (mild or spicy)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 ½ cups Bisquick or baking mix
  • 1 ½ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • ½ tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • ½ tsp onion powder (optional)

Directions:

  1. Preheat Oven:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or spray with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Mix Ingredients:
In a large mixing bowl, combine sausage, cream cheese, Bisquick, cheddar cheese, and spices (if using). Mix until well combined — using your hands works best!
  3. Form Balls:
Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing slightly apart.
  4. Bake:
Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Serve:
Let cool slightly and serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce (like ranch, spicy mustard, or honey mustard).

Tips:

  • Use pre-shredded cheese or shred your own for extra melty texture.
  • Make ahead and freeze unbaked balls — just bake straight from frozen, adding a few extra minutes.
  • Want a spicier kick? Use hot sausage and add a dash of cayenne or red pepper flakes.
