🥐 Prosciutto Asparagus Puff Pastry Bundles – Elegant & Easy Appetizer!

Flaky puff pastry wrapped around savory prosciutto, tender asparagus, and melty cheese, then baked to golden perfection! A simple yet elegant appetizer perfect for holiday parties, brunch, or special occasions.


🛒 Ingredients (Makes 8 Bundles)

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
  • 8 slices prosciutto
  • 16 asparagus spears (trimmed)
  • 1/2 cup shredded Gruyère or Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard (optional, for extra flavor)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Sesame seeds or Everything Bagel seasoning (optional, for garnish)

🔪 Directions

1️⃣ Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2️⃣ Prepare puff pastry:

  • Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into 8 equal squares.
  • Lightly spread Dijon mustard on each square (if using).

3️⃣ Assemble bundles:

  • Sprinkle a little cheese on each square.
  • Lay 1 slice of prosciutto on top.
  • Place 2 asparagus spears diagonally across.

4️⃣ Wrap & seal:

  • Fold two opposite corners of the puff pastry over the asparagus and press gently to seal.

5️⃣ Brush & bake:

  • Brush each bundle with egg wash and sprinkle with garlic powder, black pepper, and sesame seeds.
  • Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.

6️⃣ Serve warm & enjoy!

✅ Use fresh asparagus – Thin spears work best for quick cooking.
✅ Don’t overfill – Too much cheese or prosciutto can cause leaks.
