Juicy, tender meatloaf smothered in rich brown gravy – the ultimate comfort food!
📝 Ingredients
For the Meatloaf:
- 2 lbs ground beef (80/20)
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 large eggs
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- 1/2 tsp paprika (optional)
For the Brown Gravy:
- 4 tbsp butter
- 4 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Optional: 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce for extra depth

- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine all meatloaf ingredients. Mix until well combined, but don’t overmix.
- Form the mixture into a loaf shape and place it on a lined or greased baking sheet, or in a loaf pan.
- Bake for 55–65 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- While the meatloaf bakes, make the gravy. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Add flour and whisk constantly for about 1–2 minutes to form a roux.
- Slowly add beef broth while whisking to avoid lumps.
- Add seasonings and cook until thickened, about 5 minutes.
- Once meatloaf is done, let it rest for 5–10 minutes. Slice and serve with warm gravy on top.
