Here’s a sweet little treat perfect for cozy tea time: Butter Pecan Cookies — buttery, nutty, melt-in-your-mouth deliciousness! 🫖🍪

🍪 Butter Pecan Cookies for Tea Time

🍽️ Yields: 24–30 cookies

🕒 Prep Time: 10 min | Chill: 30 min | Bake: 12–15 min

🌰 Flavor: Buttery, nutty, and tender

📌 Perfect with: Black tea, Earl Grey, or a creamy chai latte

📝 Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 cup finely chopped pecans, toasted
  • Optional: Extra powdered sugar for dusting

🔥 Directions

1. Toast pecans

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread chopped pecans on a baking sheet and toast for 6–8 minutes. Let cool.

2. Make dough

Cream butter and powdered sugar until fluffy. Mix in vanilla. Slowly add flour and salt, then fold in toasted pecans.

3. Chill

Cover and chill dough for at least 30 minutes.

4. Shape & bake

Roll dough into 1-inch balls or small discs. Place on parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake at 350°F for 12–15 minutes, until lightly golden on the bottom.

5. Cool & dust

Let cookies cool completely, then dust with powdered sugar if desired.

☕ Tea Time Pairing Tips

  • Earl Grey complements the nutty notes beautifully.
  • Serve on a tiered tray with lemon slices and jam thumbprints for a tea party.
  • Try with spiced or herbal teas for a cozy, aromatic twist.

❄️ Storage

  • Store in an airtight tin for up to 1 week.
  • Freeze dough balls for up to 3 months—bake straight from frozen, adding 2–3 extra minutes.
