Here’s a comforting and ultra-easy Slow Cooker Chicken and Gravy recipe — tender shredded chicken smothered in rich, savory gravy. Perfect served over mashed potatoes, rice, or biscuits!

🍗 Slow Cooker Chicken and Gravy

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 4–6 hours (on LOW)
Total Time: ~6 hours
Servings: 4–6

📝 Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
  • 2 packets (0.87 oz each) chicken gravy mix
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1½ cups water or chicken broth
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder (optional)
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, whisk together gravy mix, cream of chicken soup, water (or broth), garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth.
  2. Place chicken in the slow cooker. Pour gravy mixture over the chicken.
  3. Cover and cook on LOW for 4–6 hours (or HIGH for 3–4 hours), until chicken is fork-tender.
  4. Shred chicken with two forks and stir back into the gravy.
  5. Serve warm over mashed potatoes, rice, or buttered noodles. Garnish with parsley if desired.

✅ Tips:

  • Use thighs for extra tenderness and richness.
  • Add sliced mushrooms or a splash of cream at the end for a twist.
  • Double the gravy for extra sauciness!

🧊 Storage:

  • Store in the fridge up to 4 days.
  • Freeze in airtight containers for up to 2 months. Thaw overnight and reheat gently.
