This Strawberry Cobbler is a simple, old-fashioned dessert that’s bursting with juicy strawberries and topped with a golden, buttery crust. Serve it warm with vanilla ice cream for the ultimate treat!

🍓 Strawberry Cobbler Recipe

Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 40–45 minutes
Total Time: ~1 hour
Servings: 6–8

📝 Ingredients:

For the strawberries:

  • 4 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

For the cobbler topping:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup milk
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, toss strawberries with sugar, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Pour into the prepared baking dish.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk, melted butter, and vanilla until just combined.
  4. Spoon the batter over the strawberries in dollops — it’s okay if some fruit shows through.
  5. Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the berries are bubbly.
  6. Let cool slightly, then serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.

✅ Tips:

  • You can use frozen strawberries (thawed and drained) if fresh aren’t available.
  • Add a pinch of cinnamon to the topping for warmth.
  • Don’t overmix the batter — a few lumps are okay!

🧊 Storage:

  • Store covered in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat in the oven or microwave before serving.
