Here’s a warm, nostalgic classic straight from Grandma’s kitchen — Grandmother’s Favorite Peach Cobbler! 🍑 Buttery, golden, and filled with juicy peaches, it’s the ultimate comfort dessert that never goes out of style.

🍑 Grandmother’s Favorite Peach Cobbler

🍽️ Servings: 8

🕒 Prep Time: 10 mins | Bake Time: 45–50 mins

Flavor: Sweet, buttery, fruity

Texture: Juicy peaches + fluffy, golden topping

📝 Ingredients

  • 1 stick (½ cup) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 (29 oz) can sliced peaches in syrup (or fresh peaches + ½ cup sugar)
  • Optional: ½ tsp cinnamon or nutmeg for added spice

🔥 Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place butter in a 9×13-inch baking dish and melt it in the oven.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Pour batter evenly over the melted butter — do not stir.
  4. Spoon peaches and syrup evenly over the batter — again, don’t stir. The batter will rise around the fruit while baking.
  5. Sprinkle cinnamon or nutmeg, if using.
  6. Bake for 45–50 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
  7. Cool slightly and serve warm — plain or with vanilla ice cream!

💡 Tips & Notes

  • Using fresh peaches? Peel and slice 4 cups, then simmer with ½ cup sugar and a splash of water before adding.
  • Don’t stir the batter once it’s in the pan — layering is key to that perfect cobbler top!
  • Want a crispier top? Sprinkle sugar on top before baking.

❄️ Storage

  • Fridge: Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
  • Reheat: Warm in the microwave or oven at 300°F until heated through.
  • Freezer: Freeze baked cobbler (fully cooled) for up to 2 months. Thaw and reheat.
