Here’s a sweet and simple summertime favorite — Easy Blackberry Cobbler! 🍇 Bursting with juicy berries and topped with a buttery, golden crust, this recipe is perfect for lazy afternoons, family dinners, or spontaneous dessert cravings.

🍇 Easy Blackberry Cobbler

🍽️ Servings: 6–8

🕒 Prep Time: 10 mins | Bake Time: 45 mins

Flavor: Sweet, tangy, buttery

Texture: Juicy berries + crisp-topped cake-like crust

📝 Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsalted butter (1 stick), melted
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen blackberries
  • ½ cup sugar, for topping (optional)
  • Optional: ½ tsp cinnamon or a squeeze of lemon juice

🔥 Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Pour melted butter into a 9×9 or similar-sized baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix together flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in the milk until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter evenly over the melted butter in the dish — do not stir.
  4. Scatter blackberries evenly over the batter. Sprinkle ½ cup sugar on top if desired (great if berries are tart!).
  5. Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
  6. Let cool for a few minutes and serve warm — plain or topped with ice cream or whipped cream!

💡 Tips & Notes

  • If using frozen berries, do not thaw first — just toss them in a little flour to reduce extra juice.
  • Add a dash of cinnamon or lemon zest for a flavor boost.
  • Don’t stir the layers — the batter rises up around the berries as it bakes.

❄️ Storage

  • Refrigerate leftovers for up to 4 days, covered.
  • Reheat in the microwave or oven at 300°F.
  • Freeze baked cobbler for up to 2 months — let cool, wrap tightly, and freeze.
