Here’s a quick and comforting Creamy Tomato Pasta Sauce recipe — velvety, rich, and full of flavor. It’s the perfect weeknight pasta upgrade, made with pantry staples and ready in 20 minutes!


🍅 Creamy Tomato Pasta Sauce

📝 Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 can (15 oz) crushed tomatoes or tomato sauce
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 pinch red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ½ cup heavy cream or half & half
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 10 oz pasta of choice, cooked and drained
  • Optional: fresh basil, for garnish

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Sauté aromatics: In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and cook for 3–4 minutes until soft. Add garlic and sauté 1 minute.
  2. Simmer the sauce: Stir in crushed tomatoes, oregano, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Simmer uncovered for 8–10 minutes to thicken slightly.
  3. Add cream: Reduce heat to low. Stir in cream and Parmesan until smooth and heated through. Adjust seasoning if needed.
  4. Toss with pasta: Add cooked pasta directly to the sauce and toss to coat. Let simmer 1–2 minutes more.
  5. Serve: Top with fresh basil, extra Parmesan, or a drizzle of olive oil if desired.
